About
DESIGN FUTURES is a project centered on artistic and content creation in the field of product design, conceptually around issues central to contemporary design discourse, such as environmental sustainability and climate change, new materials for the circular economy, and the advances of digital technologies in design.
The project includes several public presentations and features the participation of a group of 15 designers from various generations, promoting intergenerational dialogue and reflection, creating a temporal narrative, with different approaches, with emphasis on the new generation of designers.
The DESIGN FUTURES exhibition aims to reflect on some of the central themes of Design for Sustainability and the Circular Economy, presenting concepts, research and practical projects, through a literary, visual and three-dimensional narrative developed especially for the FBAUL gallery space and featuring contributions from designers and researchers, who will exemplify the themes presented.
The aim is to show the public the importance of Design as a facilitator of transdisciplinary solutions, not just the physical result of design (conventionally translated into pieces and objects), but its broader process and its contribution to the emerging paradigm of Sustainable Development.
The project includes multiple creative supports and public presentations:
- Kick-off, creative think tank with workshop and roundtable.
- Curatorial project by the artistic and creative direction.
- New design proposals by young designers.

- Original content development, photography and video.
- Launch of illustrated catalog.
- Design Talks “15 designers / 15 projects”.
- Documentary Design Futures.
